Jane McMillan

Luxury bespoke designer based in London

Jane McMillan founded Mac Millan in 1997 to carve a niche in the fashion universe with her original vision of colour and texture.  Her first collection was snapped up by London Covent Garden boutique Koh Samui which catapulted the brands' success.

Jane honed her skills in many British fashion houses.  She was also an Associate Lecturer at Central Saint Martins College and a consultant for the Governments' sector advisory board for fashion design.

Born on the South West coast of Scotland this was a major source of inspiration for her print designs and Jane pioneered digital printing in luxury fashion design long before many designers began to use the same methods.

Jane, who counts an HRH among her celebrity clients, showed Mac Millan collections on schedule at New York Fashion Week,  and also London, Paris and Tokyo Fashion Weeks.

In 2007 she was recognised by judges Hilary Alexander and Kate Phelan of British Vogue when nominated for Scottish Designer of the Year and in 2010 evolved the Mac Millan brand to Bespoke couture design crafting individual exquisite designs for individual discerning customers.

The original charm and heritage of a Mac Millan design is enriched by quality craftsmanship.  This caught the attention of London boutique “Koh Samui” who bought Janes' very first collection in 1997.

" I started playing around on photoshop and making my own fabrics.  Since digital printing had never been used in the realm of fashion I wasn't sure how receptive customers would be.  It was actually a huge success".

"I love being surrounded by talented and creative likeminded people. "
